ABC rolled out trailers for 11 of their new shows today at their advertising upfronts presentation, and Deadline has them all here:
http://www.deadline.com/2013/05/abc-new-series-trailers-2013-video/
Check out the trailers. “Betrayal” is sleek and handsomely done, though it seems like it’d be better as a short-run series or even a movie, a sensation I had with a couple of the other shows as well.
The spinoff “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” has a lot of possibilities. It looks like they’ve done a good job taking a general idea and applying it in an engaging new way with the Alice in Wonderland myth.
Malin Ackerman, Bradley Whitfield and Marcia Gay Harden definitely are looking promising in “Trophy Wife.”
Rebel Wilson, unsurprisingly, has some good moments in the otherwise very broad “Super Fun Night.” I’d say the same about Jimmy Caan and his co-stas in the Bad News Bear-ish “Back in the Game.”
I also liked the metaphysical premise of “Resurrection,” and it has a terrific cast (the photo is from that trailer)
Check ‘em out. Which ones do you like?

A highly amusing trailer for the upcoming Netflix-exclusive set of new episodes of cancelled cult fave “Arrested Development” is out here:

What do you think? Looking forward to the show?

The not-very-naughty red-band trailer for the Coen Bros. latest film, “Inside Llewyn Davis,” has arrived here: http://www.deadline.com/2013/05/inside-llewyn-davis-coen-brothers-red-band-video/

It stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan and some other notables you can see here, and the trailer has a high-lonesome sort of song from Bob Dylan, appropriate to the film’s theme of a folk singer trying to break in to the 1960s Greenwich Village folk scene, not unlike a certain Bobbie Zimmerman once tried to do.

What do you think of the trailer?

Here we go, with screen grabs from the just-released first trailer for “Ender’s Game,” which features a batch of Oscar winners and nominees, and some of the more talented young actors around too,

See the trailer, which just came out half an hour ago or so, here: http://www.deadline.com/2013/05/video-trailer-enders-game-first-look/

What do you think? Like the looks of it? Any fans of the book series have a thought on this?

Over on YouTube and Google Plus, the “Ender’s Game” movie will rol out a trailer and live Google Plus Hangout, for those panting for such things. We’ll be posting the trailer on Deadline too, but you can find the Hangout on the +EndersGame page on Google Plus.
The still above is from a brief teaser trailer featuring the stars of the movie that came out a few days ago. It also has some scenes from the film, which certainly has some prospects for success when it comes out later this year.

“The Wolverine” trailer that first screened at CinemaCon a couple of weeks ago has now become available here: http://www.deadline.com/2013/05/video-hot-trailer-the-wolverine-cinemacon-hugh-jackman/

It’s about as tight with words as the W-man himself, but it certainly appears that whomever had to create those sounds of steel crossing steel got a LOT of work done. Still, looks good. What do you think?

It’s not a movie trailer, but the visual and storytelling ambitions of the folks behind the “Grand Theft Auto” videogame franchise continue to be of epic proportions, as the just-released trailer for the upcoming GTA V suggests.

Deadline’s Jen Yamato suggests the three protagonists take the film/TV ambitions even further in their backstories. Check out the whole trailer here: http://www.deadline.com/2013/04/video-trailer-grand-theft-auto-v-video-game/

What do you think? Looking forward to the game and a little unrestrained mayhem in a cinematically inclined game form?

Well, now, this DOES rather look like fun. It’s the trailer from one of Universal’s very few non-sequel releases this week, “R.I.P.D.” Think of it as sort of a “Men in Black” meets “Ghostbusters” in the afterlife.

Ryan Reynolds is the newly dead rook and Jeff Bridges is channeling Wyatt Earp with a bit more of a drawl. See the trailer here: http://www.deadline.com/2013/04/r-i-p-d-trailer-movie-ryan-reynolds-jeff-bridges-universal/

What do you think? Can it turn into a franchise for the U?

They’ve released the last trailer for J.J. Abrams’ next take on “Star Trek” with this rather fantastic little piece of work right here, including lots of shots of villain Benedict Cumberbatch for those interested in that sort of thing:

Looks great to me. What do you think of the trailer?

Along with that poster comes the trailer for “Elysium,” which definitely explores more of the world created by Neil Blomkamp, the South African director who made such a splash with the tremendously thoughtful low-budget sci-fi hit “District 9.”

Here, Matt Damon and Jodie Foster represent two very different populations, with one condemned to a not-very-good life on the surface while the other lives well in a satellite far above. In this way, it’s not so different from one of the underlying conceits of “District 9” and its subtle conversation about apartheid.

See what Blomkamp’s come up with this time with the full trailer here: http://www.deadline.com/2013/04/video-hot-trailer-elysium-matt-damon/

What do you think of the trailer? Looking forward to the film?
