They may be as wildly different as one can imagine, but the YouTube sites from Rainn Wilson (Soul Pancake) and Jay-Z were the big winners in this week’s Deadline rankings of the hottest original-content channels on YouTube.

Perhaps it’s not a surprise that one of the few YouTube original-content channels to actually jump up in Deadline’s rankings during a week that started on Thanksgiving was Hungry, which showed videos on what to do with all that food that was making you Not Hungry Anymore.
Otherwise, Deadline’s David Lieberman reports, it was a pretty desultory week for online video (and based on what I saw for Deadline, other social media too). Guess you guys were lost in a turkey haze, all busy with the leftovers, and the shopping.
Anyway, check out the rest of the rankings here: http://www.deadline.com/2012/11/deadline%E2%80%99s-youtube-channel-rankings-3/

A week after Felix Baumgartner fell out of that balloon, rankings on Deadline’s weekly YouTube original-content channels fell back to something a little more like normal, Deadline’s David Lieberman reports.
Noisey made a lot of noise with a controversial Die Antwoord video (chomp, chomp, Lady Gaga), and two other sites went through some crucial changes that helped boost their rankings. Overall, though, minus that 57 million views of Felix, it’s looking like a normal busy week on the Interwebs.

The Big Fall continues to make for a huge leap for Red Bull in Deadline’s weekly rankings of original-content channels on YouTube. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Felix Baumgartner’s jump from about 24 miles in the sky continues to obliterate everyone else in terms of online views. No one should be wondering if the stunt is paying off for Red Bull at this point.

U.S. Olympics team's YouTube channel soars on Deadline weekly rankings

It didn’t quite score a gold, but the US Olympics team’s channel soared on Deadline’s YouTube rankings, jumping a Phelps-ian 266% during the first week of the games.

Perhaps even more interesting is the strong overall growth in the 100-plus channels Deadline is tracking. Viewership this week has hit nearly 81 million visits, highest in the 11 weeks we’ve been doing this stuff. Someone’s starting to pay attention. Advertisers may too.
