Back in January, Mitt Romney was still fighting to get his party’s nomination. I won’t spoil how that turned out for him, but you should click the image and watch the best Colbert Report moments from the first month of 2012.

- Filmmaker Joss Whedon “endorses” Mitt Romney for president.
It is possible, just possible, this may be satirical. It is, however, definitely very, very funny. We all need brains.

Deadline founder Nikki Finke takes a long and interesting look at Stuart Stevens, the Hollywood-connected GOP political consultant who sits at presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s right hand as his top fundraiser/ad man/strategist, and also happens to be a pal of George Clooney, the movie star who also has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for President Barack Obama.
Now, that link has emerged publicly and some Republican activists are very not happy, again. Interesting. Sometimes, the friends of your friends are not your friends.
Oh, and definitely take a look at Nikki’s takeout on this interesting little political tempest here: http://www.deadline.com/2012/09/mitt-romney-strategists-ties-to-george-clooney/

Promising start to an amusing parody of the inevitable bio that will play tonight when Mitt Romney accepts the GOP nomination for president. And about as filled with errors as the Vice Presidential nominee’s speech last night.
Some things even The Onion can’t make up: Conservative radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh today accused makers of “The Dark Knight Rises” of attempting to, ahem, Bain-wash the minds of their very big movie’s viewers by naming their even darker villain “Bane,” a homonym of the GOP candidate’s former long-time employer. The goal: to affect the course of this November’s presidential election.
I hope Jon Stewart is as polite as we believe him to be, and has already sent a thank you card to Rush for his peerless assistance in material creation.
