Ron Moore transformed “Battlestar Galactica” from a genre pulp show into a sophisticated critique of politics, terrorism and the enemy within, seen through the lens of a universe very far from contemporary times.
Now, Moore is returning to cable TV with another series set in a very different time and place, the very large “Outlander” series of historic romance/adventure books from Diana Gabaldon. This announcement appears to have made some people quite happy. How about you?

Going to #SDCC? LOTS of GREAT TV panels, from “Battlestar Galactica” to “Breaking Bad” and a whole lot of other stuff in between, for shows such as “Game of Thrones,” Joss Whedon on the short-lived but much loved “Firefly,” the long-running and also much loved “Battlestar Galactica,” and “Community.” Deadline’s Dominic Patten gives the panel-by-panel rundown on what to expect each day. Good luck figuring out what you want to see more.
