Dish Network has rolled out a nifty new social app tying whatever a customer is watching on its service at that moment in with the customer’s Facebook and Twitter feeds, and a whole mess of interesting metrics and data for those interested in who else is interested in their show. Deadline’s David Lieberman has all the details here: http://www.deadline.com/2013/05/dish-network-social-hopper-app-twitter-facebook-single-screen/Check it out. The app sounds great, and the only question is why other Pay TV providers aren’t doing more things like this to take advantage of stats like those 32 million people who have tweeted about TV programming.
