Here’s a complicated but very interesting question: in all the hosannas over the wisdom of the Disney purchase of LucasFilm and the Star Wars property, does it (and the rest of Hollywood) risk concentrating too much of their product on movies focused in science fiction, fantasy and superhero stories?
Deadline’s Executive Editor David Lieberman essentially asks, have we gone too Comic-Con for our own good? Read his piece here: http://www.deadline.com/2012/10/disney-lucasfilm-star-wars-deal/
And let us know what you think. Has Hollywood concentrated too much of its product on too narrow a slice of offerings?
