Just because Joel Silver has produced sci-fi epics like the “Matrix” trilogy during a 25-year relationship with Warner Bros. doesn’t mean he doesn’t mind a look backward once in a while, particularly when it comes to architecture. 
Silver has moved ahead with the purchase of the WPA-era post office in L.A.’s funky beachside Veniceneighborhood, which will undergo historic preservation and renovation to become home to his newly indie production company.
