Deadline’s Executive Editor David Lieberman reports that Sidney Harman’s family trust has pulled back and Barry Diller’s IAC has taken over operations at the troubled Newsweek and The Daily Beast. 
It can’t be a good sign when the stumbling online/offline media unit loses the protection and investment of the more public-service minded part of the partnership that emerged after Sidney Harman’s death. Will this move ultimately slay the loss-making Beast?
