Thank goodness for the fresh blood infusing the comedy categories in the Emmy nominations this AM, particularly female-centric shows from HBO, which has long flourished in drama but this year pushed into what has otherwise been broadcast nets’ bailiwick.
Deadline’s Pete Hammond reports little else was a big surprise among the many noms handed out by the television academy.
